Here is one of the biggest examples of why University archives need to have excellent working relationships with each other across campus, because previously we only had Black and White photographs of this event. Special Collections here at USC called regarding some film elements they have in their collections that they felt we might be better equipped to handle and care for. I went to check it out and found this little short film piece of Herb Farmer and Sol Lesser on the exhibition day that was arranged for the Sol Lesser motion picture camera collection to be donated to USC Cinema. The exhibition was just before Xmas in 1968, and in the brief clip you first see Kemp Niver (back to camera) and Herb Farmer talking, and then eventually see Sol Lesser with Herb…AMAZING STUFF…Thanks to Leonard Wines for sending it to the University and Claude Zachary for getting it in to the film archive that Herb started.
