Notes: The Educational Film Collection includes over 1800 titles from the Los Angeles Public Library on 16mm film. Educational film topics range from science to social issues, cultural differences, travel, art, history, animals, and more. Several films profile celebrities and icons such as James Wong Howe, Aretha Franklin, Marilyn Monroe, Buster Keaton, Martin Luther King, Jackson Pollock, Sonny Rollins, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, Steve McQueen, and Grace Kelly. Other notable subjects are the Tournament of Roses Parade, The Great Train Robbery, and a small number of feature films.
